Privacy Policy — Bulk Transcript Exporter for MeetGeek

Last updated: October 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what the Chrome extension “Bulk Transcript Exporter for MeetGeek” (the “extension”) does with data, and what your choices are. The extension is published by Elysia Labs, a brand of Elysia, operated by Michael Zaher, a sole proprietor registered in Israel (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@elysiaevents.com.

The short version: the extension runs entirely in your browser. We run no servers for it, we receive none of your meeting data, and the extension has no analytics, telemetry or ads. Your meetings go straight from MeetGeek to a ZIP file on your own computer.

This policy covers the extension only. It is separate from the privacy policy of the Elysia website and apps. The website’s analytics, Meta Pixel and cookies do not apply to the extension, and the extension does not load or use any of them. For the website or for payment matters, see our main Privacy Policy.

The extension is unofficial. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by MeetGeek. “MeetGeek” is a trademark of its respective owner.

1. What the extension handles

Everything below stays on your device unless a line says it is sent somewhere.

  • Your MeetGeek API key and region. You paste the key into the extension; you choose the API region (default, EU or US). The key is sent only to MeetGeek’s official API, in the request header, so MeetGeek can answer your requests. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. If you tick “Remember the key on this device”, the key and your region are saved in chrome.storage.local on your device, not encrypted. If you do not tick it, the key lives only in the open page and is gone when you close it.
  • Your meeting data. When you scan or export, the extension asks MeetGeek’s API, directly from your browser, for your list of meetings and, for the ones you export, their details and transcript, plus the summary and highlights if you chose them. This can include meeting titles, dates, participants’ email addresses, what people said, summaries and action items. The data is held in your browser’s memory, written into a ZIP file that Chrome saves to your computer, and then discarded. The extension does not save your meeting content in its storage and does not upload it anywhere.
  • Your settings. Your chosen export options (format, filters, which extras to include, your MeetGeek plan and region) in chrome.storage.local.
  • A list of meeting IDs you already exported (Pro “skip already exported” option; the list is kept so an export can resume the next day). It holds meeting IDs only, no titles or content, and is capped at the most recent 50,000.
  • A local request counter (today’s date and a number) so the extension can stay within MeetGeek’s daily API limit. It is never sent anywhere.
  • License data (Pro only). If you buy Pro and enter a license key, the extension sends the key and a random device label such as “Chrome ab12cd” to Dodo Payments (live.dodopayments.com) to activate it, then roughly once every 7 days, when you open the exporter, sends the key and the activation ID to check it is still valid. Dodo answers with an activation ID, whether the key is valid and, at activation, the buyer details linked to the key, including the email address used to buy. The extension saves in chrome.storage.local: the key, the activation ID, the random device label, the product ID, the buyer email Dodo returned, the activation and last-check times, and the license status. If you never enter a license key (the Free tier), the extension never contacts Dodo.
  • Technical data seen by MeetGeek and Dodo. As with any request on the internet, MeetGeek and Dodo see your IP address and browser details when the extension calls them. We do not receive or see that.

2. What we deliberately do not do

  • No servers of ours. The extension talks only to MeetGeek’s API (when you scan or export) and to Dodo Payments (for Pro licensing). Nothing is routed through us.
  • No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no tracking, no fingerprinting, no cookies set by the extension.
  • No advertising, and no personalised ads.
  • We never sell or rent your data, never share it with data brokers or advertising platforms, and never use it to judge creditworthiness or for lending.
  • We never use your data, including your meeting content, to train AI models. The extension sends your meetings to no AI service.
  • No remote code. All code is packaged in the extension, and its content security policy only allows scripts from the extension itself.
  • No access to the web pages you visit. The extension has no content scripts and does not read your browsing activity, tabs, history or cookies.
  • No human at Elysia Labs can read your meeting data, because we never receive it. If you email us a file or a screenshot for support, we will see only what you choose to send.

3. Why this data is used

Each item above is used only for the extension’s single purpose: exporting your MeetGeek meetings to a ZIP file on your computer, plus the Pro license that unlocks the extra export features. The API key and your meeting data are used to run the export you ask for. Settings, the exported-ID list and the request counter make the export work and keep it inside MeetGeek’s limits. License data is used to unlock and keep Pro active, to stop a key being used on more browsers than it allows, and to switch Pro off if the purchase is refunded or cancelled. Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are performing the contract with you (providing the license you bought), our legitimate interest in preventing license abuse, and legal obligations such as tax records.

4. Permissions and hosts, and why

  • storage — to save your settings, the optional remembered API key, the exported-ID list, the request counter and the license record on your device.
  • https://api.meetgeek.ai/*, https://api-eu.meetgeek.ai/*, https://api-us.meetgeek.ai/* — to call MeetGeek’s official API with your own key. You pick which regional server your MeetGeek account uses.
  • https://live.dodopayments.com/* — to activate, check and deactivate Pro license keys with Dodo Payments.

The extension requests nothing else: no tabs, activeTab, history, cookies, downloads or identity permission, no content scripts, and no background service worker. The ZIP is saved with Chrome’s normal download. The “Get Pro” button opens the Dodo checkout page in a new tab; this needs no permission.

5. Third parties

  • MeetGeek holds your meeting data and your API key. The extension reads it for you through MeetGeek’s official public API. MeetGeek’s handling of your data is covered by MeetGeek’s privacy policy and your agreement with MeetGeek. You can revoke the API key in MeetGeek at any time under Integrations → Public API.
  • Dodo Payments is our Merchant of Record: it sells Pro to you, takes the payment, handles sales tax, invoices and refunds, and issues and checks the license key. Your payment details go to Dodo’s checkout, never to us. Dodo is an independent controller of your payment data. As the seller we can see the purchase record Dodo shows us (such as your email, name, country and what you bought), but never your card number. See Dodo Payments’ privacy policy.

We share nothing else with anyone, except where the law requires it.

6. Retention and deletion

  • On your device: everything the extension stores stays until you remove it. Uninstalling the extension, or clearing the extension’s data in Chrome, deletes all of it. Unticking “Remember the key on this device” removes the saved API key. “Reset ‘already exported’ list” clears the ID list. “Deactivate on this browser” tells Dodo to free the activation and deletes the saved license record.
  • Exported files: the ZIP is yours and lives where you saved it. We cannot see or delete it. It contains your meetings in readable form, so store it securely, and remember that meetings may include other people’s personal data; you are responsible for how you keep and share the files.
  • At MeetGeek: exporting does not change or delete anything in MeetGeek.
  • At Dodo and with us: purchase, tax and license records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires (Dodo as Merchant of Record, and us for our own bookkeeping). Emails you send to support are kept only as long as needed to help you and to meet legal obligations.

7. Security

The extension talks to MeetGeek and Dodo only over HTTPS. It uses the minimum permissions listed above, has a strict content security policy, runs no remote code and bundles no third-party libraries. Your meeting data is never stored by the extension. Chrome’s extension storage is private to the extension and your browser profile but is not encrypted, so the saved API key and license key are readable by anyone with access to your unlocked computer or profile. On a shared computer, leave “Remember the key” off. No system is perfectly secure; if a problem affects personal data we hold, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the EU/UK GDPR and Israel’s Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, you can ask to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the personal data we hold about you, object to its use, and withdraw consent. Because the extension keeps your data on your own device, you can use most of these rights yourself, as described in section 6. The only personal data we may hold is purchase and support records, so for anything else email support@elysiaevents.com and we will reply within 30 days. For data held by Dodo Payments or MeetGeek, you can also contact them. You may also complain to your data-protection authority, or in Israel to the Privacy Protection Authority.

9. Children

The extension is for working adults (18+) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. International transfers

We do not transfer your data anywhere, because we do not receive it. Your browser sends data to MeetGeek and Dodo Payments, which may process it in other countries, including outside the EU, under their own safeguards. See their privacy policies linked in section 5.

11. Chrome Web Store User Data Policy — Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In plain words, for any user data the extension handles (including your meeting data and API key):

  • We collect, use and transmit only what is needed for the extension’s single purpose, exporting your MeetGeek meetings, and the Pro license that supports it.
  • We transfer data to third parties only as needed to provide that purpose (your requests to MeetGeek, the license checks with Dodo), to comply with law, to protect against fraud or abuse, or in a merger or sale of the extension after your explicit consent.
  • We never use or sell the data for personalised or other advertising, never transfer it to advertising platforms, data brokers or resellers, and never use it to judge creditworthiness or for lending.
  • No human reads your data, because we do not receive it, except with your explicit consent for specific data you send us, for security investigations, to comply with law, or as aggregated and anonymised data. We hold no such data.
  • We do not collect or use your web browsing activity.

12. Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version at this address with a new “Last updated” date. If a change affects what data the extension collects or how it uses it, we will disclose it prominently in the extension and on its Chrome Web Store page before the change takes effect, and will not start the new data handling until then.
